Cunard Dining Information
To sail with Cunard is like taking a step back in time to the golden age of luxury ocean liners. Make a sweeping entrance all dressed up in your finery. Linger over cocktails in the bar before sitting down to one of Cunard's culinary rituals - from a simple spa lunch on deck or cream cakes and Darjeeling at tea time, to casual meals in the Lido, or the tantalizing gourmet fare in one of the formal restaurants.
Main Dining Room Policies: Cunard guests dine in different dining rooms according to their cabin types.
Guests staying in most cabins are assigned to one of two seatings in the main dining room for their evening meal, early or late. The early and late seating times can vary by ship or itinerary, but are usually at around 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., respectively. Dinner seating preferences may be requested at the time of booking, but are not guaranteed. Guests staying in suite cabins may dine in their assigned dining room any time between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
With the exception of at least two Formal nights, the evening dress code is Semiformal or Elegant Casual. Jackets are required for men after 6:00 p.m. in all dining rooms. Shorts, t-shirts and swim wear are never permitted in the main dining rooms.
Formal: Black tie or formal dark suit for gentlemen. Evening dress or other formal attire for ladies. Semiformal: Jacket and tie for gentlemen. Cocktail dress or trouser suit for ladies. No jeans. Elegant casual: Jacket, no tie required for gentlemen. Dress, skirt or trousers for ladies. No shorts or jeans.
Beverage Policy: All beverages except tea and water are at an additional cost. Juice and coffee is included with breakfast.
Special Requests: Special meals are available including low-calorie, vegetarian, no MSG, low/no sodium and low/no cholesterol meals, as well as sugar-free and fat-free desserts. Kosher meals must be requested and confirmed at time of booking, followed by a fax to guest services. Additional fees may be applied for Kosher meals.
All dining rooms onboard Cunard ships are smoke-free.
